Ovestin pessary leakage

WiseBrownOwl · 31/08/2024 22:36

I started ovestin pessaries last night. Had some leakage but nothing too bad. Wore knickers tonight. Will it not just all be drawn out and soak into the knickers though?

I considered wether wearing my mooncup might be better but doesn't it need to reach the whole area?

Do you mean Vagifem pessaries?
Ovestin is a cream.

I’m always more lubricated after using them. It’s what they’re for.
The cream/pessary will still have acted where it was needed.

Are you using cream or pessaries?
Obviously they are different.

Ovestin always comes out the next morning as it's not all absorbed.

You don't need worry about it. I don't wear pants in bed when using it.

Vagifem? It shouldn't leak so much as it's a tablet that dissolves.

WiseBrownOwl · 01/09/2024 15:12

It's pessaries, as I said.

It's pessaries, as I said.

If you are talking about vagifem it’s a tablet that’s inserted with an applicator…..there can be a bit of a chalky discharge ….but it’s not a pessary as such

ovestin is a cream

take it you don’t live I. The U.K.?

I wasn't sure as you called it Ovestin.

You can insert the pessary at any time as it's supposed to stick to the vaginal walls.

I have a friend who uses it during the day and it seems to work okay that way.

So if you did try that, you wouldn't need to worry about leaking overnight.

Thanks, I think I prefer to use it at night.
