Do I need more HRT?

I've been using Evorel 50 patches since June and the first 2 weeks were brilliant. I had no brain fog, had some libido back and my anxiety was greatly reduced. I actually felt like engaging with other humans temporarily!
I had some bloating and swollen ankles for a couple of weeks but that's died down now.
I'm in week 9 and it's almost like my body just absorbed ALL of the oestrogen and is telling me it needs more. The night sweats, anxiety and brain fog are all back and I can hear myself muttering angrily in the car like some perimenopausal banshee. My libido has gone MIA again too.
Is it time to up the dosage?
Did you find this happened to you too when you first started on HRT?

It happened after a couple of years for me, but the GP was happy to put it up.

I think they like to give it 12 weeks, so make the appointment now and hit the ground running. I've had 2 increases from a 50 patch, it seems to be level enough now.

Yes happened to me.
My GP increased after two months and again after four months.

I still get the odd night sweat/waking flush, but gynae did a blood test and my oestrogen is a good level so can't have over 100mcg, instead suggested anti depressants to help with the flushes. I declined and will live with them instead.

I've upped the dosage twice in the past year and a bit - from 50 to 75 and most recently now up to 100. I'm 46 and my GP said it's fairly common for younger women in peri to need more hormones early on so was happy to prescribe the higher dose.

It took me about 6 months each time to notice the recurrence of symptoms, but I think you know in yourself when things aren't right, so listen to your gut and try more if it feels like the right thing to do - you can always go back down if need be.
