Bad pains in legs and low energy, even on HRT!

Hi All, keen for a bit of advice. I'm 48, healthy and on HRT (oestrogel, 2 squirts (1 morning, 1 evening - seemed best combo for me) and progesterone). Only menopause systems I've had are bad sleep (which HRT seems to have sorted) and pains in my legs - particularly my calves. This happens even after light games of tennis, which I've played all my life (I play about 4 times a week, so it's not new and not like my body isn't used to it). I use a foam roller, eat enough protein, drink enough water, had blood tests (nothing came up) checked ferritin levels - (it's 39, so in range) etc, etc. Reluctant to increase HRT dose as family history of breast cancer. Did take "Ingenious Active" collagen but so expensive and wasn't sure it was helping massively. It definitely seems something is now lacking in my system that needs topping up. Anyone else had this and found a solution by taking any supplements? If so, can you share the specific supplement? I have been trying everything to no avail. It's really upsetting me as I'm not able to do the sport I love, and generally starting to feel much older than my age and have so much less energy. Been to the doctors who found nothing - so asking on Mumsnet, which is clearly much better:)

I had knee pain for quite a while and started taking these a few months ago. No pain at all now, I get them from a company called Vitabrite. Also take a menopace supplement.

I know calves aren't exactly a joint but it may help.

Thanks so much @FrenchandSaunders - super helpful and I will give that a whirl! On a similar note, I have been reading about a Tumeric and Black Pepper Supplement from Holland & Barrrett and also Boswellia extract. Has anyone tried any of these, and have any positive or negative feedback? I've tried so many different supplements now, I'm keen to see what others recommend as I'm sure I can't be the only one with these pains in my calves after exercise, and general low energy! Many thanks all:)

Your ferritin is quite low, even though it's technically within range. Ideally i think it should be closer to 100. I joined a group on FaceBook called The Iron Protocol which has been a useful source of information & suggestions on how to raise ferritin further and what co-factors to test alongside ferritin levels.

Please post back if you find something that helps as I'm in a similar position!
