Should I stop?

Been on hrt for 2.5years and I'm almost 55. currently on femoston 1mg (changed from elleste 1mg). I changed from elleste because I was getting terrible stomach pains/pmt on the progesterone half of the cycle. Femoston is better but I feel so tired and brain fog on progesterone is horrible.
I started hrt for joint pain - I've made some lifestyle changes and it's much better.
Im also on 150mg sertraline and mitrazapin 15mg as I have ptsd from a family death 3 years ago.
I feel so awful on the second half of the tablets - trying to work but the exhaustion is hell. I'm frightened to stop though in case it kick starts anxiety and ramps up my ptsd (I've also had counselling).
Does anyone have any suggestions or experience they can share?

Has anyone suggested changing yet again to a different progesterone?
You could try a Mirena coil or Utrogestan.
Also at 55 you can change to combined continuous HRT where you take a lower dose of progesterone every day rather than on a cycle.

Has your dr not suggested any of this?

Also, some of the info on Dr Newson's website on ADs suggests they can be counter productive in menopause and increasing the amount of estrogen may be better. You might be better using estrogen gel where you can increase the dose easily. The dose you're on now is quite low. You could go to 1.5mgs or 2mgs on gel.

Thank you for your suggestions.my doctor consultations have been always by telephone - they always call when you are busy so you don't always think about what to ask. Doc has mentioned the coil but I wasn't keen. The only reason I didn't go down the path of gels/patches was because I have sensitive skin (mild eczema). I feel pretty good on oestrogen its just the dreaded progesterone phase.
Thanks again

If it helps, I've had eczema since being a child (it's not flaring at the moment) and gel has never affected my skin.

You also should consider coming off a cycle and trying continuous as this may help the 2 weeks when you feel awful.
