Utrogestan for 25 days + estradot

I have been taken off Evorel Sequi because I am allergic to them.

Have now been prescribed Estradot (in the hope that its smallness is less of an allergy burden) which has to be combined with progesterone.

I don't tolerate it in high doses (is a suspicion) so the GP has told me to take it for 25 days but in a lower dose..

I was told I would still have a bleed because of those three days of withdrawal. Does anyone know if that's correct info?

I'm on evorel patches plus utrogestan for 25 days with a 3 day break.
I can confirm that you do still bleed, although in my case it didn't start until I had restarted the utrogestan and has now been going for 2+ weeks which is rather tiresome.

Marvellous. I shall look forward to that, considering I am almost always anaemic and have already been referred for heavy bleeding!

You probably won't .

The 25 days have now been pretty much changed to 'daily' to bring it in line with tablets and patches where the progestogen is used daily.

If you don't want a bleed, ask your GP why they are sticking to the 25 days.
It was there as a kind of 'insurance' where some women may have a thickened lining.

Sadly, not all GPs are keeping themselves up to date with HRT. The 'leaflet' and prescribing doses are a little behind the times of what specialists are suggesting.

Thsi GP is actually a specialist compared to most GPs.

My lining is a bit thick and I experience very heavy and painful bleeds.

I think(but I do find this all quite confusing) that she thinks I will tolerate the progesterone better by only taking one a day.

My whole HRT 'journey' has been two years of constant experimentation. Had it up to here tbh...
