Vaginal Utrogestan does it cause discharge and do I need specific vaginal pessaries?

Hey, I have been on Evorel 100 for a wee while and with that the 300mg of Utrogestan on day 15 of my cycle. The increased amount of oral Utrogestan hasn't been agreeing with me, I've had horrible bloating, teary days, lethargy and what feels like a return of my endometriosis symptoms.
My GP has reduced the Utrogestan to 200mg and I've to take it vaginally. I'm just using the tablets I have, I don't have specific vaginal ones, do I need them?
I've felt brilliant except for this wet discharge at night and for a while in the morning. Is this normal? Ive also got loose bowels which is hopefully just a passing thing. I've to take it continuously even though I still have periods albeit every 2 months now. She explained that would help my symptoms.
I do feel great and with an added B12 injection I've had the best week for energy and motivation in such a long time.

Hi. I've just started using my tablets vaginally on the advice of the menopause doctor.

I had NO idea that could be an option. I can't take them orally at night as I got horrible indigestion so was taking them in the morning.

Fatigue is a big problem for me so I was keen to try taking them at night but vaginally. So far so good Smile

@NippyCrab The white discharge is the excess progesterone that's not absorbed plus some of the waxy coating.

There's no way round that (other than a panty liner.)

It won't be any different with the 200mg vaginal capsule (I've used those too) because they are exactly the same just twice the size.

@JinglingSpringbells thank you so much, I was thinking I wasn't getting them high enough for full absorption it's tricky when they are so small.

@BovineUniversity I'm so glad I called the Dr. I was walking in the park with the dogs blubbering away, the difference is vast compared to taking them orally.

Gives loads of discharge. Panty liners at the ready. Unless you can ask for any that can be used rectally

I'm happy with vaginally, I'm hoping my upset tummy isn't caused by the change in how I'm taking it.
