Is it normal to fall in your 50's?

53, still bloody peri menopausal in the last 3 days, I have fallen, outside. Last time was Thursday, when I fell twice in a ( flat, pedestrianised) town centre. Didn't go to hospital, as didn't hit my head. Been feeling SO rough today. Don't know if it's linked. Is it normal to suddenly start falling in your 50's? ( No known mobility issues)

No, that isn't normal, there might be something else going on. Maybe you have developed a touch of vertigo, or low blood pressure or something else. Best to get checked out, especially as you say you feel unwell anyway.

Was there a reason for your fall, a slip on water, trip over a step?
Can you remember your fall? Do you remember how you felt just before you fell and what happened as you were falling?
Have you noticed anything else, being light headed when standing, not picking your feet up as normal when walking, mid judging distances etc steps / doorways, rapid heartbeat?

Go to yr GP.

You MUST see your GP.
It's not a symptom of menopause.

Unless you tripped over the paving or something, this needs investigation.

It could be all kinds of things but if you're falling over (and can't remember how it happened) it really is important to see your doctor. You could be blacking out and in that case things like driving would be dangerous. It could be a neuro disorder, circulation, anything.

It's really important to see your dr.
