Does the menopause feel like a mental illness?

I haven't managed to get to the pathology department yet for my blood test but I would put DH's right **ock on me being in the menopause.
Symptoms so far are confusing as I'm unsure as to what is the change and what is me just going around the bend. Night sweats, painful wrists, peaks of temper so sudden I'm apologizing before the tantrum has ended, periods closer together.
The ones I'm unsure of are - memory loss, dyslexia, clumbsiness, can't find my words, can't get going to get things done around the house, a fog of apathy and needing to have a quick nap all the time. Are these things symptoms of the change or have I finally lost it .
What shall I do?
What can I take?
And will I ever have the energy to go for the blood test and follow anyones advice. My house is a tip, there is chaos all around me which makes me feel worse but I can't seem to organise even the simplest of tasks.
Am I going mad or is this the menopause?

I have started at the Marion Gluck clinic and for me it's great. I hope you have a similar experience.

Hello. I am new to a this, amongst many other symptoms, like others have said, my libido is zero. I was told I could add testosterone for this but I was wondering if HRT itself (elleste duet) would solve this? I'm not keen on taking testosterone due to hair growth. I've got enough of that already!

Hi Willosgang, I'm on elleste duet. I'm into the 2nd week and still waiting for them to take effect really. I was hoping I'd see a marked improvement after the 1st week as a lot of women said they saw a noticeable difference after only 5 days but I don't think I'm one of the lucky ones. The booklet says it can take up to 3 months so I guess that's the target.

I'm only 32 and many of these symptoms have knocked it on the head for me 😳 my mum had a hysterectomy in her 30s but I can't remember why so I can't ask.
