Blood Test Results

Been feeling extremely fatigued (comes and goes with cycle), brain fog and the worst of it are the body aches. My back, knees, jaw, neck ache but also my thigh muscles etc. In the morning and when standing from sitting I am very stiff.

Saw a nurse who decided to do full blood profile. Not had a call from the surgery yet - but logged onto the portal and my results are there.

The ones where I am near the max or min threshold are below (also added in hormone one). I will google later, but does anyone have experience? For each one it says normal, but I am convinced I have something wrong with my liver or kidneys based on the below. (I have lots more results but all looked reasonably close to the middle of the scale.)

Rheumatoid factor = 8 IU/ml (healthy range < 12 IU/ml)

Serum Urea = 3 mmo/l (healthy range 2.5 - 7.8)
Serum creatinine = 55 umol / l (healthy range 60 - 120) marked as OK.

Liver serum ALT = 11 U/L (range 10 - 49)

Bone profile - Serum albumin 50 g/l (range 35 - 50)

Serum folate > 20 ug/l (no comment has been made on this)

Serum ferritin 11 ug/l (range 10 - 291)

Eosinophil count = 0.04 (range 0.04 - 0.40)

Nucleated red blood cell count = 0.2 (range 0 - 0.2)

Serum LH level = 12.1 iu/L

Serum FSH level = 15.8 iu/L

Serum free T4 level = 12.9 pmol/L (range 11.5 to 22.7)

Many women feel dreadful with ferritin in the lower end of normal range. Iirc it needs to be above 70 for healthy hair growth. No wonder you feel dreadful at just 11. I’ve no doubt it will be marked as ‘normal’ but Nice guidelines say treatment if below 30.
You could do with having B12 checked as well really, although worth noting that U.K. levels are set really low and you can also be fatigued in the low end of the normal range.
Many areas no longer check vitamin D because low levels are so common, that can also cause crippling fatigue, buy some high strength OTC ones if they won’t test.
All the above can cause muscle/bone pain and fatigue, along with brain fog.

OK i'll look at the ferritin information and ask about that. I do actually take supplements on and off for iron.

B12 was 524 ng/L (range 220 to 700)
Vitamin D 63 nmol/L

I've read up on low ferritin. Have a lot of the symptoms. Why is it marked as normal range when NICE guidelines advise to treat, I wonder.

My FBC all looks fine though.
