Can't use Estrogen cream as it contains peanut oil! Is there one that DOESN'T contain peanut oil?? So disappointed!

I started a thread a week or so ago about estrogen cream. I finally have some and just read the leaflet and it says that anyone with a peanut allergy shouldn't use it as it contains peanut oil! I'm sooo disappointed.

Can't contact the surgery today as they are closed for staff training.

Does anyone know if there are other creams available WITHOUT arachis (peanut) oil?

I am very allergic to peanuts - carry an epipen. I mean, I know I wanted a plump undercarriage but not at the risk of anaphylaxis!

You could investigate Vagifem which isn't cream, but a small pessary.

There are also weaker creams if they are still around so worth looking at those. One used to be called Gynest I think.
The is also a gel Blissel.

Would the patches work? Evorel.

Thanks for your responses. It was specifically for use on the vulva. I've had hair loss with HRT and also (though no one believed me!) with vagifem previously. I wanted to just try an estrogen cream on the outside and see how I faired, hair loss wise. I'll look into the weaker creams @JinglingSpringbells , thanks.

The cream contains arachis oil so I think as this is purified the peanut protein has been removed. I would have thought it would be safe. If you feel comfortable you could try a tiny amount maybe on your arm or leg to see if you react. However I think the risk would be very low.
This info leaflet is about oral medicines containing arachis oil being given to children with peanut allergies which suggests the risk is very low.

@pharmachameleon - thanks for that, it made for an interesting read. I did consider using a bit somewhere other than my nethers, may try a bit later. I'm also allergic to almonds but it seems I can use some products with almond oil so who knows!
