Does being on the combined pill help with peri / menopause symptoms?

In early 40s and just trying to educate myself on peri / menopause as I’m starting to notice some changes in my hormones/ body.

Does anyone know if being on the combined pill helps with peri symptoms? I’ve been on it for a few years and don’t know if I should stay on it, I don’t necessarily want to come off it though if it may help with some of the symptoms.

I don't know about the combined pill as I came off that when I was 48/49 (advice is generally stop it by 50).
I switched to mini pill, and had a couple of lighter periods before they stopped, which is normal from what I've read.
Came off minipill when I was 54, basically because I was curious to know where I might be, re menopause (and advice is to stop it at 55 years old anyway).
Over 18 months later, no period, no symptoms of menopause etc.
I have no idea if pills masked anything and obviously can't find out.
I reckon if you are ok with being on the pill and it seems to suit you, then carry on. Risks are pretty low from what I've read, and I didn't fancy coil etc as alternatives.

I started it at 43 for anxiety which my GP thought was related to peri menopause. It worked well for that and my sleep improved. I’m now 46, and no other clear menopause symptoms…whether the pill is masking them I’m not sure. Or maybe I’m not there yet. Time will tell I guess!

I also don’t know if actual HRT would be better for my long term health than the pill. I’m reluctant to change anything at the moment as I only have a light period on my pill break every 9 weeks.
