Test for perimenopause?

Just that really, is there a test you can take to know if you are in the perimenopause? Google has brought up some expensive home kits but its not clear what they actually test for?

The last few months my periods have a been a day either side expected but today it's arrived three days early, I used to be very regular to the point that I knew which night I would come on.

Apart from some extra chin hair (aint life glam 😉) I don't have any symptoms.

Not sure if I'm getting carried away as we were going to start TTC DC2 but I've just turned 40 so I know the chances are getting slim now.

I've got some ovulation strips would it be worth starting testing after my periods finished to see if I'm still ovulations or does this not really mean anything?

I still ovulate and I've been on HRT for 15 months and I'm 46.

I don't think there's any test. Blood tests aren't accurate.

I did however have a testosterone test which showed I had zero testosterone left so that was accurate but wouldn't be a first line test or anything, rather something to look at once you've started HRT.

Usually peri is diagnosed on symptoms.

However as you are under 45, GPs often test bloods for iron, thyroid, etc to check there's nothing else causing any symptoms.
