Hi menopausal mumsnetters
Any wisdom please, I'm peri, 51 and find my legs, especially lower legs are sore and feel weak. I am overweight anyway but honestly I find it uncomfortable and sometimes feel that I'm exhausted when walking. However, cycling and swimming are fine so it's not my fitness, albeit not brilliant, the walking is just horrible
Any wisdom ladies?
Btw I'm on Evorel patches and progesterone via Mirena coil
TIA

Hi Floofcloud, Yes, I'm also 51 and had a good health and fitness until suddenly mid October last year, terrible cramping and leg pain/fatigue. Neurosurgeons have ruled out any spine issues, and Neurologist have ruled out anything like MS et cetera. I recently started on HRT but that hasn't helped as yet. No one understands what's causing it and it's leading me to have dreadful anxiety panic attacks and depression. It's really ruining my life.

I've seen an osteopath and that helped a little bit and I'm going to be seeing a naturopath soon to check if there's any nutritional deficiencies going on. I've wondered if it's to do with menopause. A less common or known symptoms. So it will be interesting to see how many other women in this age group or stage of menopause post here with similar experience.

Thanks @ZootLady - I really hope you get a diagnosis.
I find it difficult to explain but I sometimes feel like my body is like a raggy doll and my legs are weird feeling but certainly feel pain and discomfort in knees and the lower legs
