Post meno fibroid - possible treatments?

Quick history
Ovaries (one with a cyst) out 2018 - scar tissue & adhesions found (found a burst ectopic in 2000)

2020 post meno bleeding - did an internal ultrasound and found a cyst some fluid and a mass - so hysteroscopy and they removed a polyp, the mass was scar tissue and no liquid found

2022 post meno bleeding so they did an internal ultrasound and they found nothing g except a slightly thicker lining so no further action

2024 post meno bleeding so they did an internal ultrasound (on Monday & I have been bleeding & clotting since) they found a 42 x 42 x 41mm subserosal fibroid (growing outside the uterus possibly on a stalk!) Which is small!
& 4.8mm uterine lining so thats fab (it's less than 5mm, which is the cut off)

& At my results appt I was told 70% of women bleed after an internal ultrasound

So I'm not really sure where to go from here not happy to leave it as they confused the fibroid/polyp last time and polyps are the suspicious ones

If they are going to muck about with a GA is it time to have it all out?

I also have a partial prolapse, a rectocele and a bladder repair (TVT - which is nearly 21! - I gor it in 2003) - how they would do a hysterectomy with that lot I don't know! & that's the reason I didn't have a hysterectomy in 2018 cos I was worried it would all fall out the middle!

Has anyone similar circumstances? Unlikely I know

The fibroid is tiny- just over an inch.
They only tend to remove them if they are huge (bigger than an orange) and press on other organs and cause symptoms. Even then, removal doesn't have to be a hysterectomy- they can remove the fibroid. ( I know someone with that experience and treatment on a massive fibroid.)

Many women have fibroids and unless they cause issues they are left alone.
Many women don't even know they have - them they're only found when investigating something else.

TBH it won't be your choice . If it's not showing as cancerous (and fibroids aren't as far as I know) they will leave it alone.

If it's causing irregular or heavy bleeding, they might take it out.

Sounds as if your HRT might need tweaking as bleeding that much after an ultrasound is not usual. (There may be no connection and your lining was thin.)

I'm more concerned that they said it was a fibroid last time and it turned out it was a polyp

I've been more and more ill since about Easter, vague tummy/bowel and tiredness- I changed my hrt in August to try and rectify it, when that didn't work went on to look at thyroid issues and then looked and changed the hrt again earlier this month

Have you had a face to face appt about the results? From a specialist?

Didn't you post that you'd been given them over the phone by someone in a call centre?
TBH I'd not take their word for it.

Never heard of women bleeding after an ultrasound unless they have vaginal atrophy.

I understand you are worried but no one here can offer an answer, I'm only posting what I know from friends, and my own experiences, and medical info that's online.

I'd wait and see what your specialist says and try not to over think it .

If you have bowel issues that's another matter and maybe see your GP and have tests on your bowels.

I know no-one can tell me anything about be

But talking to it her people about my problems helps me cope with tham and it helps to have some knowledge going into appts

I recently found out that with an existing prolapse a hysterectomy isn't always advised - so I know to ask more questions if they suggest that
