Breakthrough bleeding on Utrogestan. Should I be worried?

I've been on HRT for almost two years now - Lenzetto spray and Utrogestan (14 days of 2 tablets) but I am bleeding before the end of the Utrogestan course. I realise now that I shouldn't be and will have to contact GP, but why would this be happening, and might there be something wrong?
Thanks for any thoughts/advice

I'm in the middle of investigation for this. I was sent for an ultrasound which was looking for abnormal thickening of the womb (which she didn't find) and various blood tests.

I haven't had follow up with GP yet but she did say it might be a dose issue -my natural cycle is 'breaking through '.

Might be something or might not be but definitely worth getting checked out.

Thank you @ConflictedCheetah I'm hoping it is just a dosing issue. I'm 55, so unlikely to still have a natural cycle that will break through. Just hoping it's not anything more sinister!

I hope you get your own issues sirted.

See your GP. You will probably be referred on a 2WW to exclude anything cancerous but it is highly unlikely to be and you may just need to adjust your dose for a while

Thank you both for your responses. I had a phone consultation with GP, and she has changed my oestrogen back to oestrogel, and changed my Utrogestan to one every day continuously rather than two for 14/28 (or one for 25/28 as I was before that) and having a break. To be reviewed in 3 months.
We'll see.
HRT is great, but it seems it can take a while to tweak it to exactly the right thing for individual women.
