Temporary moods due to hormones

I’ve been on HRT (patches 50strength and utrogesran) for a couple of years. Still have periods that come whenever they want (regular but doesn’t respect the HRT cycle)

Every cycle between ovulation and period I get a phase of my mood being shit - it’s like PMS except it only happens when I wake and slowly goes away as the day goes on.

On those mornings, I’m awfully
moody, convincing myself my partner is having affairs (I’m fairly sure he’s not I don’t know why I feel that way ), grumpy as all hell and just miserable. It’s all better and back to my usual cheery self by mid afternoon.

I know this is hormonal. It only lasts a few hours of a few days each cycle but it’s horrible when it happens.

My GP is worse than useless. I don’t want antidepressants for something lasting a few hours each month. Would making changes to the HRT (up or down) be likely to help?

Sorry to hear you experience that but it’s reassuring I guess to know it’s not just a me thing

Omg I have been doing this and it’s awful. My DP really has suffered, I have accused him a number time, the poor man doesn’t even leave the house and he loves me to bits as I do him.
Oh what it is to be a woman. I’ve just started Everol Conti and really hoping this helps as nothing else has. Hope you are ok hun.
