Hi, I am on week 8 of Evorel Sequi. I feel fantastic right up until a week before my withdrawal bleed is due and then I feel it - the darkness hits me... I get sweats, anxiety, dreadful morning anxiety and burning in my neck, back and chest ... also a real sense of impending doom... Should I contact my GP? Is there, like a top-up of something she could give me to help pre-menstrually? Although I take Pyridoxine (high strength B6) for PMS, my PMS has never been really bad - it was purely for the intense food cravings. Could my GP issue me like a top up HRT (if there is such a thing?) I'm on cyclical HRT, i.e. 2 weeks of Evorel 50 and 2 weeks of Evorel Conti.

Please help.

Many thanks!

They've slowly increased me to Evoral 100 for this reason.

I remain disappointed that my patches have been the miracle that Davina promised BUT they have taken the edge off.

I'm currently listening to a podcast on BBC Sounds called '28ish Days Later' which does a deep dive into women's cycles.

It's important to remember that , even though we are on HRT our cycle is still there. It made we want to track it again so I can be ready for the dark days!

Sorry, not much help. Id ask to be put up from 50 to 75 then to 100 and see if it helps. Good luck 🤞

I found that as my own progesterone was rising, together with the added HRT progesterone, I felt dreadful, all of the symptoms you list. My consultant decided it was best to just give me 50mcg estrogen only patches to be taken after ovulation until my period started, it worked fantastically for a few years whilst I was in peri. It boosted my estrogen but didn't add in any progesterone - he would only do this as I was having regular periods so felt I had enough progesterone to counteract the womb thickening effects of estrogen.

Interestingly he said that regular exercise was great for PMS and progesterone intolerance.
