Urticaria and allergies and hrt in perimenopause

Hi,
I'm perimenopausal, 51 and I started hrt 6 weeks ago (2 pumps oestrogel 15 days utrogeston). Symptoms were panic/anxiety, rage, bloating, cyclical allergies/hives around the eyes.
My panic/anxiety/rage/ bloating have definitely eased but my allergies have gone much worse (never had allergies before apart from teens and post partum).
For the last few months on the first 7 or so days of each cycle I have swollen itchy eczema type eyelids, much worse on waking up. But this month my eyes have been much, much worse. I had this after pregnany too but gradually eased off after a year or so.
I'm not sure whether too carry on with oestrogel dose or bring it right down (i dont have any other typical low oestrogen symptoms - hot flushes or sleep issues) . I've read that too much oestrogen can cause histamine level to rise. My doctor originally said to give it 3 months but my eyes have been unbearable this time.
Anyone else have similar symptoms? Or advice.
Thanks in advance x

My allergies have been wild since menopause. I am afraid I do not know the answer it’s also to do with getting older and your immunity is just not as good.

It may be coincidence. The dose of gel is average so not high. You could try reducing it to 1 pump and see if that helps.

The other thing to consider is the amount of Utrogestan.
It's not 15 days.

The dose is 12 days (see the patient leaflet in the box) with the option of 14 days for women who need more to control bleeding.

Progesterone raises body temperature and it may well be the Utrogestan that's set it off. (I have always had eczema which flares with stress but it also can get worse during the 2nd half of a cycle.)

I think you're going to have to experiment a bit and see if anything helps.

Thank so much for you reply @JinglingSpringbells . Sorry, it was a typo, I meant 12 days of ustrogen, I was getting mixed up with starting on day 15.
I was wondering if progesterone was the problem too (I seem to have a long leutal phase - my daughter was conceived on day 10 of cycle - aged 40) so does this mean my progesterone levels would be fairly high anyway? It's a minefield and I feel like I'm constantly clutching a straws. For now I think I'll reduce to one pump and see how I get on next cycle. Thanks again x
