Hi all

Just wondered if anyone had used these tests before.

I'm just 38 (birthday yesterday) with a history of fibromyalgia, arthritis, lupus and severe, iron-absorption issues anaemia.

I've been noticing for about a year that I'm getting very hot in situations where no one else is. Obviously today isn't a great indication as it's 30 degrees in London where I am, but even in winter or when it's not been warm I've found myself incredibly hot and sweaty- like sweat dripping off me sweaty. No night sweats though. I am a bit overweight but not massively. I do some exercise but limited because of the arthritis.

This year I've been very unwell with prolonged pneumonia after covid and have been diagnosed with long covid. These things alone cause severe sweating, but just out of curiosity though I saw these tests and thought I'd give them a go.

A strong line came up immediately for me but the instructions (attached) indicate that if the line is lighter than the control it still may not indicate menopause.

If it's relevant I've got a mirena coil in and have had since my youngest was born seven years ago. Just had it replaced in June. Two kids, no desire for any more. My mum had a very late menopause (didn't finish til she was 58) but her mum had an early one (all done by 44). No idea on my dad's side.

I have an appointment with my GP to discuss next week but just wondered what peoples experiences of these tests were?

TIA.

I think it's lighter. Not by a lot though

Thanks @Rattai - so do we reckon that means no menopause or is it like ... a bit of menopause? Confused
