Anxiety in menopause

I've been hit with horrific anxiety. Fought it for ages with complimentary therapies but saw my gp and got Duloxetine and two weeks on it no change.
It's like a cycle of anxiety, hopelessness, disassociation then I'm fine. Has anyone else been through this?

How are you feeling today @Dawn1331 ? If you are anywhere near Glasgow please message me as I am part of a FB group which provides excellent support and face to face meetings once a month. Lifesavers.

What HRT are you on? I’m also taking Testosterone and that’s helped. I stopped taking it a few weeks back and the anxiety came back and was horrendous. Went back on testosterone and it was like someone switched the anxiety off. Also, for those experiencing headaches, fatigue etc on HRT, it’s actually a symptom of excess estrogen so your HRT may need tweaking. Good luck all. x

I have an appointment at the end of October with a highly recommended consultant to talk it all through. There is no way I am getting testosterone from my GP, they were very reluctant to prescribe even standard HRT.

Your symptoms sound very similar to mine. Are you in peri or post?
I think you already mentioned this but the medication will take longer than 3 weeks to kick in properly. Hope you get some relief soon Flowers
