Menopause after chemo

I had a bone marrow transplant in 2021 for leukaemia, which has brought on the menopause.
I’m 36 and stopped having periods in August 2021, went on patches in September 2022 but started having periods every two weeks in February 2023.
Was told to come off patches in April as they thought my menstrual cycle might be coming back. But 4 months later they still haven’t and symptoms are awful.
Went to the GP today to go back on patches until I am reviewed again by the clinic.

Fertility is meant to be low following the transplant and now these menopause changes.
I don’t really want to go on contraception as it’s very rare me and my husband have sex.
I don’t know how likely it is that I would fall pregnant after these changes.

Will your husband have a vasectomy? Mine did once I started taking tamoxifen and didn’t like hormonal contraception.

@MinnieMountain no that’s not something that he would consider.
They have suggested the coil would be good but I had it before and didn’t like it.
I don’t know how long it would until I would stop being fertile. Before my cancer treatment they said I wouldn’t be able to have children after the procedure but now the GP keeps going on about contraception.
A few years ago I asked to get my tubes tied but they wouldn’t due to my age.
But I’ve had three children and definitely don’t want anymore.
