I've been having these symptoms for 3 years night sweats where my 5 year old thought I'd peed myself, random hot flushes and snappy mood. My mam thought I might have bipolar because of my mood. I've been ok until recently where it's got worse. My skin has become itchy everywhere I'm itching til I'm red, I'm tired and needing naps alot, I heard electric shocks was one I was having that alot a few weeks ago. My boobs have been tingling.
Ive become so emotional I had a meltdown at work over something so silly! Very embarrassing
I had a hot flush at work today too, like every day.

I'm having blood test on Wednesday morning but the doctor didn't think it was menopause because I have the contraceptive implant in. I told her I've had the implant in for only 1 year and had the symptoms for 3 years so she agreed to do the test but wasn't sure how accurate it would be.
I just want to know what is going on. My work colleagues suggested I try menopace so I bought some. Just want to know your thoughts too. My mam started here menopause at 44.

Forgot to add bursts of anger, forgetting stuff, very dry mouth, headaches, joint pain and heart palpitations

I started getting perimenopause symptoms when I was about 32 (night sweats that went through multiple layers of towels and quilts, hot flushes, migraines, palpitations, joint pain etc). I’m now 50 and still have regular periods, so perimenopause has been loooong for me.
I didn’t know anything about perimenopause when it started, and then I was trying to conceive so didn’t start hrt. I wish I had started hrt when I was much younger.

I feel for you Helenahandkart that's a long time. I'm glad it's being talked about more. It's been tough dealing with this in the few years I've had it
So hrt works for you then?

Not sure about hrt. I think I may have left it too late. My GP told me I couldn’t conceive if I started hrt (not sure if that’s true or not) so I held off and didn’t start it until I was 47. Hrt certainly hasn’t been the miracle cure I was hoping for, but I’ve recently added in testosterone so I’m hoping there may still be further improvement - and hopefully the hrt is keeping my heart and bones in good shape, even if it hasn’t sorted out all of my symptoms.

I’m 40 and have had symptoms of perimenopause for at least 2 years. I do feel like I’m young for HRT, most people on the threads on here are later 40’s or 50’s.
anxiety, palpitations, joint aches and pains, tingling fingers, and yes- electric static shocks. I have a list of over 30 symptoms that I have been having that I’d never have thought were peri. I pretty much had to do all the ‘diagnostic’ work, took my list to the gp as soon as I turned 40 and they’ve agreed to try HRT.

I will try that too by taking a list. I've had joint pain for days, itching like crazy and a hot flush yet again. I managed to clean up and hoover and mop today after nap. I'm too tired most days and can't get motivated at all. I've been a mess this week especially.

I started HRT at 40 and you are not too young. It's actually very important for your heart and bone health.
