Bad back. HRT ?

DustyLee123 · 25/06/2023 12:38

I’ve had a bad back since not long after starting HRT. Assumed it was the bike ride I had been on, but it’s not going. Don’t want it to affect my ability to work.
Did anyone else have this ?

Never heard of that as a possible side effect but people can have rare responses to things. It would be pretty far down the list of suspect causes though, especially as it's so localized. If it were all over joint or muscle pain that might be different. Have you had it checked out?

No, and actually my all over aches and pains have practically stopped completely since taking HRT

No, not had it checked out. I’ve had a bad back for 2 weeks now, having to take painkillers to work. There’s no sign of it getting any better or worse, had it from 1 week on HRT.

You should have got it checked out 2 weeks ago. Continuing as normal and dulling the symptoms with painkillers is highly likely to make whatever it is worse, and much harder to treat. People have turned temporary issues into permanent disabilities by guzzling painkillers and carrying on. No one here can tell you what's causing it, only that it's really unlikely to be the HRT.

I didn’t ask for a diagnosis and I’m not guzzling painkillers. I simply asked if anyone else had had it, but thanks.
