Zoladex trial

After the worlds worst consultant failed to listen to me and do whatever he wanted to do, just had a really lovely consultation with a different consultant who has suggested Zoladex for a trial to see if what I describe as ovary pain will help.
My sister ended up on morphine when on Zoladex and had a hysterectomy in the end which stopped all her pain.
My question is, is there any other way to induce menopause without using painful Zoladex?

What is 'ovary pain' and what does the consultant think it is?

What I call ovarian pain is when I'm woken up at 4 am with what feels like somebody playing drums on where I think my ovaries are. Its like they are being smashed and squeezed at the same time. It's so painful it wakes me up and I end up taking paracetamol first then 60mg codeine which works as I fall back to sleep. Sometimes it's so bad I go straight to Tramadol. I tend to fall back asleep but end up taking whatever combination I can safely to be able to manage a days work. I get this pain most days. I have more a coil so the flooding stopped. I ruined chairs and carpets at work with random unexplained flooding.
Consultant agrees that it might be treated by a hysterectomy but wants to try Zoladex first because if that doesn't work then full hysterectomy won't.
She's agreed an MRI scan in the meantime to check for adhesions (can't recall the term she used) which don't show up in an ultrasound scan
