Great on progesterone; flat the rest of the month

Hello
I've just come to the end of my first HRT cycle. The first fortnight when I was on oestrogen only was horrible - heavy period, really bloated and just as "meh" about everything but with some anxiety thrown in. Then I did the fortnight with progesterone tablets as well and felt like my own self. Bags of energy, wanting to plan & do stuff, exercising etc.
Saturday night was my last night of taking progesterone. Yesterday I felt a bit zoned out. This morning, I overslept, had a supermarket delivery which is still only 2/3 away, have dropped the DC off at clubs, done a couple of loads of washing, done some general tidying around the house and am now slumped on the sofa and really can't face the idea of getting off the sofa and putting the rest of the shopping away.
I want progesterone fuelled me back!
Is anyone else like this? And is there any way I can take progesterone all of the time?

Hi, yes I was like this. It may settle after you've been on longer and you get used to it. For me it did not. After over a year or so, I went on continuous utrogetsan with 3 day break only but the 3 days were so awful and my periods are rare so I now take every day. But I have been on HRT a few years now.

Yes I'm like that too.
I've got a phone appointment with a dr in two weeks time to discuss it all. It's all a bit of a nightmare at the moment Confused

It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one. I was expecting the weeks when I was on progesterone to be worse.
@Iwantcakeeveryday I'll see how I get on over the next few months but it's interesting to know that it can be taken more or less permanently

Yes I take it every day to regulate my moods. I'm 47 and as far as i know, still in peri.
I've just upped my estrogen to 100mg a day though and ive started bleeding more often so I'm going to ask the gp if i can take 200mg utrogestan a day instead of 100mg.
