Tinnitus and parathesia with menopause

Hi I am a 55 year old woman who is going through various symptoms of the menopause. No periods now for over 18 months. I had the palpitations which have now passed but over the last 14 months have been suffering from dreadful tinnitus. It does change in levels, and to be fair when I am busy I can almost forget about it, but it is there constantly. A doctor looked at my ears and they were fine. It seems to have accompanying bouts of dizziness and whooshing at times. Is this a common thing at this stage of life ?

I also am suffering from intermittent parathesia. This includes tingling, pins and needles plus on and off numbness in my arms and legs. I have read a drop in oestrogen can cause these symptoms but wondered if others had suffered too. My circulation seems poor now too with cold hands and feet and even chilblains in the winter.

I hate feeling like this and am taking the holistic approach with vitamins B, D, Magnesium and Evening Primrose. I really do not like the idea of HRT so want to get through this as naturally as possible.

Has anyone else had similar issues to those described ? It really is a horrible stage of life. I am not overweight and have no medical issues.

Thank you.

Have you had blood tests?
Low B12 can cause tingling and tinnitus can improve with B12. You can still suffer symptoms at the lower end of the normal range so you are better off being optimal rather than just normal.

It would be best to not take any supplements until after a blood test if you haven’t already had one though as they may skew the results.
