Aches, pains and anxiety. Am I peri?

I'm 43 and started getting lots of symptoms late last year.
Nausea, weight, loss, lack of appetite. Just feeling crap and feeling sonrthing was wrong.
Had lots of tests done to rule out certain cancers which then led to really bad anxiety to the point where I was scared to be on my own.
I seen to constantly be aching somewhere. Upper back, neck, chest, hips, legs...
Also I started tracking my period and recording dates. I only had 25 days this month between them.
I've had breast pain (currently waiting on mammogram results) which comes on before period and can be quite bad and I've never had much pain with periods before. I've now got this pain in my right pelvic area which has been comjng and going for a few days. Not severe but worse when in certain positions. It almost feels like a bladder infection but not quite painful enough as the ones I've had in the past.

I feel like I'm falling apart and wondering if it's all anxiety, meno or both.

No one can tell you that from the information you've provided. Nausea, weight loss and lack of appetite are not typical perimenopause symptoms, certainly not on their own. You need to get yourself properly checked out, not just ruling out cancer. Your digestive symptoms, for example, could be something like a h. pylori infection. You need your thyroid checked properly as problems with that can cause all kinds of issues.

Thankyou Polly. I was Checked for H Pylori and that was negative. I'm sure they did thyroid as well.

Hi, I also feel joint, muscle pain but no neusea or weight loss. I'd say weight gain and overeating.
Keep investigating.

The joint pains that move around are suspicious for perimenopause. Of course, you could have the fun of having more than one thing going on at a time! Get them to keep investigating until they work out what it is. They will try to fob you off once they've ruled out the big ones like cancer. They'll also fob you off because you have anxiety, most medical professionals will ascribe absolutely everything to that if they can. Emphasize to them that the anxiety started after the other symptoms and was caused by the worry of cancer as possible cause. Do your best to get that anxiety under control though, they won't take you seriously if they believe you're not thinking clearly.

One way to know if some of it is perimenopause could be to try HRT and see what it helps and what it doesn't.

Thank you. That's exactly how I've felt and worry about going back again as I'll just be a nuisance patient with 'hypercondriac' written on my notes. 📝

I know this as my dad was a doctor and most things could be attributed to stress and anxiety if nothing was broken or bleeding. 🙄 It's the same with my sister (nurse) so I don't tell her how I feel now and just say I'm fine.

Will definately work on the anxiety. It has been better this week.
