Utrogestan Weight gain

I feel like a walrus , felt like a pound a week gain.
I am on a trial run of HRT near 6 mths and considering coming off.
Gel and 2 weeks 200mg utrogestan.
10lb on fit and healthy otherwise - however this breast and belly and thigh increase makes me feel crap. My joint pains are no better.
And i am on Sertraline for PMDD so think i may revert back to just that to see how I go.
Anyone else trialled on and off?
I am moderate risk BC so hence the trial run.
Thank you

It's worth knowing that NICE does allow a long 3 month cycle for women in peri. This means Utrogestan once every 3rd month - so take it after 10 weeks of estrogen only.

Most GPs don't know this but my consultant suggested this for me when I started HRT and I carried on with it for 6 years before shortening it slightly ( still longer than the usual 4 weeks.)

what do you mean by the 'moderate' BC risk?

Hi and thank you I didn't know that - if i go for another review and decide to try again I will mention this - its a long process to see someone and i can only go via Gynecology due to my increase risk.
I have a family history of Breast Cancer so fall into the 'moderate' risk group I have been told. I attended Family History Clinic for 10 years with annual mammogram now as I am 52 thats ended.
So i guess I am trying to determine if i need it due to the bloating stomach pains and swelling feeling - I have been unwell since Covid over a year now and this threw me into Peri so trying to iron out which problems are which! Very similar

@Kazx81 If it's within your means there are many very expert gynaecologists who could see you privately, very quickly often, and would offer you possibly more expert advice than the NHS. The regime I've been on for 15 years is off-label, meaning no NHS dr would offer it (I assume) and my meno gynae is extremely experienced and now works only privately.

If you have the funds, it may well be worth thinking about this.
