Is anyone on HRT, and also using Stevia? (natural sweetener)

Hi all,
I am currently on HRT for menopause symptoms.
I would also like to cut out sugar (for lots of reasons) and Stevia natural sweetener has been recommended, but I read that it may mess with my HRT and cause nasty side-effects.
Does anyone take HRT and Stevia without any problems?
Thanks for any advice.

Could you link to or quote what you have read? (It seems unlikely that a plant substitute sugar could affect HRT.)

Do you eat a lot of added sugar every day?

(looking at your username ! )

Would it not be better to give up or reduce the foods that have added sugar?

Thanks for the reply, JinglingSpringbells,
Yes, I found it strange that a plant substitute could interfere with HRT, but the article says that anyone taking hormone regulating medication should be aware of the risk of increased side effects.
I stopped using refined sugar a while ago, and just use honey occasionally now. Not so many cakes these days, either. Boo.
I still find it hard to drink a cup of unsweetened coffee, though, and honey in coffee tastes a bit odd to me, which is why I was looking at Stevia.
Anyway, this is the link to the article: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/319837#who-should-not-use-stevia

It might be worth looking at some Youtube videos produced by Zoe (from Prof Tim Spector) as there are a couple including artificial sweeteners, where Dr Sarah Berry discusses them in detail. Stevia is one of the 'better' ones as although it's processed it's not as artificial as others.

Obviously, the bottom line is avoid them if you can.

The trouble with Mednews is that it's a fairly simplistic site and not a lot of detail.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice.😊
Will take a look at those videos now.
