Bleeding more not less on continuous cycle?!

Hi all, I'm 52 and after being fobbed off with antidepressants for about six years, I have been on HRT for over a year now, using Oestrogen and Utrogestan on a cycle, gradually increased gel to 4 pumps a day and 200mg of Utro for 12 nights. I've been muddling along, hoping and praying to feel like myself again. The gel helps my main symptoms but I'm still exhausted and have an empty brain most of the time.
Saw a new GP who agreed since I was 1 year in, that we could change me to continuous cycle and this would stop my monthly periods (they have remained pretty heavy and usually last about a week, sometimes they'd start on day 9 of starting Utro not the 12th day if that's relevant) She also recommended I try an Evorel patch for convenience so I'm now using a 50 and topping up with gel.
I was on for 10 days, 14-24th March, then last Sunday I came on again and am still bleeding now! Due to go on holiday on Sunday and feeling really demoralised that instead of bleeding less, I am now going to have to find the loo every couple of hours on holiday.
Any tips on how I can reduce this before I go away? I descended into a menopause google hole where I think I read if bleeding more than once a month the BMS says I could increase my Utro to 2 tablets a night - but surely Utro's role is to activate womb lining shedding, so wont that make it worse? Can I take tranexamic acid alongside HRT or is it not recommended?
When I told the Dr I was now bleeding more not less, she said it 'should settle down'. I am already taking iron as my ferritin serum is low, although I cant take the full dose as it does a number on my digestion.

I had to increase utrogestion to stop bleeding I take mine continuously as my periods had been absent for over 18 months when I started HRT.

Thanks @Strongbeatsskinny
It's useful to know that actually works then.

I was still having periods when I started but they were haphazard, one every two or three months.

Would you consider a mirena coil ?

Would you consider a mirena coil ?

Hi @DustyLee123 ,
I have had one before many years ago and really didn't get on with it. I have a retroverted uterus and am waiting to see gynae with a newly diagnosed vaginal cystocele, so don't feel like it would be a good choice.

The only thing that stopped my bloody bleeding was the mirena coil. I tried every hrt regime, but was bleeding all the time and was dreadfully anaemic.

The mirena plus oestrogel (and testosterone) has given me back my life.

I can’t offer any answers to your question, but can share my experience - my periods have re-started since starting Evorel Conti patches 15 months ago (after at least 12 months of no periods beforehand). Fortunately they aren’t heavy but they are regular. I’m not sure whether I should be worried about this or whether it’s normal. I’m not taking anything else alongside the patches.

Thanks @Schmutter & @teazle

I am starting to wish I had just carried on with the 12 days cycle option as at least I knew when the bleeding was due then! Equally, if this was just spotting I wouldn't care, but it's full on 'have to change a Super + tampon every two hours at best' situation. Better buy more stock ahead of this holiday and just assume it's not going to stop I guess. 😬
I'll keep the Mirena coil in my head as an option - if it turns out to be suitable at all. Feel like my body is failing me left, right and centre at the moment.

I have been prescribed Testogel just this week so I'm hopeful that once the bloody bleeding (exactly how I feel too @Schmutter 😂) stops or eases, then I might start to get on an upwards trajectory due to this addition.
