Utrogestan daily - is that right?

I’ve finally managed to get Utrogestan from my pharmacy after being moved over from patches, but the label on the box says to take 100mg daily. However, I’m still having fairly regular periods and I’ve read that this means I should be taking 200mg on days 15 to 28 of my cycle. (The pharmacy will be closed all weekend, of course.) Should I follow the 200mg for 14 days advice or stick to what it says on the prescription label? (I was prescribed this by a bored-seeming locum who didn’t tell me anything about how often to take it.)

Thank you!

I've just been prescribed it. My Dr said that because in theory I still have periods (43, but on the mini pill so don't bleed anymore), I need to take it for 14 days at 200mg. She said that if I take 100mg daily, I'm more likely to have daily breakthrough bleeding or spotting.

Yeah the 100mg daily is the continuous dose for women who don't get periods. Contact your surgery to query the prescription.

Just to update - I checked with my regular GP and she confirmed that I should be taking 200mg for two weeks out of every four.
