Everol Sequi and contact lenses

After a recent battle and third time lucky I've been prescribed Everol Sequi. I started the patches only 5 days ago so I'm on my second Everol 50 patch.
I wear contact lenses and for reference my eyesight is quite poor -10 in both eyes so if you're a contact lens wearer you'll know how much better life is with lenses as you have great peripheral vision for driving and other tasks.
Yesterday I started getting that awful gritty feeling and my eyes almost rejecting my lenses. I purchased some Hyco San extra drops which have definitely helped me although at £11.50 a bottle they're not cheap. I will contact my optician and see if there is a different kind of contact lense which would suit me more.
I also have a low level headache and not much appetite but I see the appetite thing as a good thing 😉.
I guess my question is has anyone suffered with this at the start of using HRT, and did it pass once your body got used to it , I haven't even used a Conti patch yet so I've no idea and I know we are all different.
Thanks to you all for reading and your responses

I have severe dry eyes and am worried about this. Some studies show HRT helps with dry eyes and some show the opposite. I have had my HRT in the cupboard for nearly a year as too scared to start. However, I did start finally 2 weeks ago and so far I feel as though it might be helping rather than hindering.
I have been unable to wear contact lenses since I developed my severe dry eye 30 years ago but am in the process of being fitted with scleral lenses now as they are designed for dry eyes. They are large diameter RGP lenses and you fill the bowl with saline before inserting them, they then bathe the corneas in saline all day, relieving the dryness… 🤞

Thank you for this post , it's encouraging that it seems to be working for you and the scleral lens sounds amazing , I really hope that helps you.
I'm going to try and get through one month on Sequi and see how it goes , sometimes you have a low before you hit a high so I'm hoping that's the case.
