Loss of sensation in clitoris...agghh...recommendations for menopause clinic

I am 48, and am peri-menopausal - last year I was diagnosed with a cervial ectropion due to mid-cycle bleeding, and I think it's resolved now, but the blood tests showed peri-menopause. I haven't had that many other symptoms apart from terrible brain fog and now, in the last few months, near-complete loss of sensation in my clitoris. There's no dryness actually, and only a small loss of libido. I was on sertraline up until 2 months ago and stopped as I thought it was that which was causing the problem, but now i've completely stopped, the numbness is still there. I can have an orgasm but only after a long long time, and it's a real effort. I really want to resurrect this! I've tried Ovestin and put it directly on the area, every night for a few weeks, but still no difference. Firstly, I wondered if there was anything else I could try, but also, if anyone could recommend a good menopause clinic - I'd prefer private as I can't get an appointment at my GP. Thank you!

Are you on any high blood pressure meds? I am, and it's really affected my clitoral orgasms 🤭 I know, because I run out of the BP meds for a week after a prescription mess up, and they went back to normal.

Back on the damn BP meds and then having difficulty again 😧

Well, I do take propanalol (a beta blocker) for anxiety. I wonder if that has some bearing? Thank you for your reply.

Some seem to find bupa really good. Iirc cheaper than Newson.

Shocking you can't see Gp though. Should be a v straightforward appt as you're the right age to trial hrt

Pessaries and ovestin together may help in the mean time and you may need to carry on for a few weeks

I went to see a specialist at Newcastle, Stoke on Trent for exactly the same reason. I'm 58. It cost me £180 and it was money well spent! My libido is returning, (I also had vaginal dystrophy). I'm on utrogestran, vagifem pessaries and estradot patched. I'm 2.5 months in now and feel so much better.
