Once the online system is ready you'll be able to buy it from the NHS Business Services Authority website (same place that monthly or annual PPCs can be bought from) www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/help-nhs-prescription-costs/nhs-prescription-prepayment-certificate-ppc and they will also be available from pharmacies that sell HRT PPCs.
There is further info here and what's included www.gov.uk/government/news/hundreds-of-thousands-of-women-experiencing-menopause-symptoms-to-get-cheaper-hormone-replacement-therapy

If you are getting other meds it might be cheaper to include in the existing standard PPC

Bumping this as I've just read about it on social media.

A year's HRT for the cost of 2 prescription charges.

It's timely for me as I will be due to get my next quarterly supply in a few weeks and I remember being annoyed when I picked up my first HRT prescription as I have alternating two different types of patches which attracts two prescription charges even though they are all in the same pack.

I'm fortunate to be otherwise in good health so pay for all my prescriptions as I'm not entitled to free ones or need enough for a standard PPC to be worth buying.

About time! I've just been to pick up a repeat prescription of Evorel and utrogestan that cost me twenty bloody quid! I could probably buy it off label cheaper. I asked the pharmacist about the scheme and they ahd no idea what I was talking about so glad to see I didn't imagine it!

I’ve asked a few chemists and have been told they don’t know about how it will work seems to be last minute for chemists

I've just looked into this as I've got a repeat prescription request in but don't actually need it for a couple of weeks (didn't know if I'd need an appointment, which is easier said than done at my surgery).

It says that the PPC can be applied for at the link below, from 1 April, ie Saturday.

I don't know if it can be used straight away, or if you'll need to wait for a card to come in the post, but I do know that, for other PPCs, you can reclaim the cost later if you have to pay but don't have your PPC in your hand, it just has to be valid.

So I'll be applying at the weekend and will hopefully have my PPC in hand by the time I actually need to pick up my patches.

NHS Hormone Replacement Therapy Prescription Prepayment Certificate (HRT PPC) | NHSBSA

The Department of Health and Social Care announced they are introducing the HRT PPC to reduce the cost of HRT prescriptions. This service will be available from 1 April 2023 and you will be able to buy an HRT PPC from this page.

The general pre payment certificate is electronic, you get an email with the details. There’s no longer a card sent out, so imagine this will be the same. You tell it what date you want it to run from when you apply.

After an argument with the surgery where the receptionist said that there was no such thing and I was thinking of the usual prepayment certificate that equates to one a month (pointless when I'm paying for two prescriptions every two months) I finally tracked the certificate down.
Checking the list of included medicines, am I right in thinking that Provera isn't included? This has been a game changer for me compared with Utrogestrothingy.
