That looks negative to me.
Unlike a pregnancy test when any line is positive, this appears to need the test line to be darker than the control line.
I'm not familiar with the test though so this is just my interpretation from the instructions.

urrrgh46 · 22/02/2023 16:47

i'm guessing the test line has to be stripped her than the other, in which case i'd say it's either equal (whatever equal means) or negative.

urrrgh46 · 22/02/2023 16:48

typos!! the test line has to be STRONGER

Gemmaaa · 22/02/2023 17:00

Thanks for the reply x

Gemmaaa · 22/02/2023 17:08

Contraception masks whats going on inside the body.

Sidge · 22/02/2023 17:16

What symptoms are you having?

You can’t rely on FSH testing when on depo.

RNBrie · 22/02/2023 17:19

You can't really rely on FSH as a stand alone test anyway. It can be very high one month and low the next.

Your result looks negative to me. The control line is darker.

But if you're having menopause symptoms you should see your GP to discuss.

Gemmaaa · 22/02/2023 17:24

Extreme tiredness, even with good sleep, dryness ( lady parts ) mood swings,

I have phoned them and have to call back tomorrow.

a lot are saying negative so I suppose that’s good

I suppose you're not on any contraception?

gemloving · 22/02/2023 17:28

I just saw you're on the depo jab which explains no periods. Have you had your bloods checked lately? Iron levels?

MeinKraft · 22/02/2023 17:31

Looks negative, I think at your age the tiredness will be related to something else, most likely low iron, b12 or vitamin D or possibly all 3.

HippyChickMama · 22/02/2023 17:53

Does being on Depo injection not mean that the test would be inaccurate due to progesterone in the injection? From the NICE guidelines for diagnosing menopause:

If menopausal symptoms are affecting your day‑to‑day life you should see your GP. Your GP should be able to tell if you are in perimenopause or menopause based on your age, symptoms and how often you have periods, so you are unlikely to need tests. If you are taking any hormonal treatments (for example, to treat heavy periods) it can be more difficult to know when you have reached menopause.
You may be offered a blood test but only if:
• you are between 40 and 45 and have menopausal symptoms, including changes in your menstrual cycle (how often you have periods)
• you are under 40 and your GP suspects you are in menopause (also see premature menopause).
The blood test measures a hormone called FSH (follicle‑stimulating hormone). FSH is found in higher levels in menopause. You should not be offered this test if you are taking a contraceptive containing oestrogen and progestogen or high‑dose progestogen because the contraceptive changes your natural FSH levels.

Go and see your GP if you think it's early menopause.
The tests you can buy are not accurate.

If you are having an early menopause, there is a lot of good advice on this charity's site, run by consultants in menopause.
The Daisy Network

Early menopause can be hereditary and the sooner it's diagnosed the better.
