Cyclical hrt, how do I know when my periods stop?

I am 45 and have been on cyclical hrt evoral patch and utrogestan for 2 years. I was still having regular periods when I started hrt.

They say that women should switch to continuous hrt once they have not had a period for 1 year but how will I know when my natural cycle has stopped if the hrt I am on still triggers a monthly bleed. As it is I suspect I do still have a natural cycle but I still wonder if I can every really know.

No one does.

The only way is to stop the HRT and see .

But most women have finished by age 54.

So what if I don't intend on stopping ever unless there is a serious medical need to?

I plan to keep using HRT as long as I can, perhaps until I die. Would I just get to a certain age like 52 and then switch to continous HRT?
