Hi,
I used vagifem pessaries twice a week

I've not used them for a little over 2 weeks as I had a vaginal biopsy and am still healing

I woke in the night to find I was bleeding, fresh red blood - seems to have stopped now

Went to UTC, thinking the biopsy site was bleeding but although they could see blood, the doctor said it wasn't from there and thought it was coming from the cervix

I've been referred to gynae to investigate post menopausal bleeding
Am trying not to worry but I'm 18m post breast cancer and now this vaginal lump, and now some bleeding

Falling to bits!

Could it just be from not using the vagifem?

It could be so many things, many nothing serious. I totally understand why you're anxious but they are checking to be cautious. You've done the right thing getting it checked out. I hope you don't have to wait too long for an answer.

What treatment are you in for the breast cancer? I got post menopausal bleeding out of the blue after 5 years on Tamoxifen. I had a hysteroscopy and biopsy and although it wasn’t cancer it was decided a hysterectomy was the right thing to do, but I’m in my 50s.

I'm 56
I'm on anastrozole - googled but bleeding didn't seem to be a side effect
I have a lot of mesh post prolapse so I'm not sure how straight forward a hysterectomy would be now

Thank you Smile
I've had tummy cramps all day, not bad but uncomfortable

Fortunately my gynaecologist is really good and I assume a referral will be to her
