3 month prescription

Just moved from patches to pump. On patches I would be given 1 prescription for 3 months patches & 1 prescription for 3 months worth of pills.
picked up prescription for pump & pills & been given 3 months of pills, but only one bottle (1 month) of pump.

unfortunately I didn’t keep the prescription & it’s only the last few days I’ve wondered whether I should have had 3 pump bottles?!

what’s the norm? Would the pharmacy have a record of what was on the prescription? (Paper)

If an NHS prescription, the pharmacy would have scanned it and have an exact record on their computer system. If a private prescription, they will have kept the original as well.

Thanks, I’ll pop into the pharmacy (was an NHS prescription), though I’m not holding my breath - they’re a bit pants!! I had to argue last time that I’d taken them 2 prescriptions, turns out they’d misplaced one of them.

I have had this battle too. Allergic to the patches (Evorel) and switched to the gel with the recommendation I use 3 pumps a day. One bottle supplied, approx 3 weeks' worth.

I got 2 bottles the next time I asked for a prescription repeat. There are still sometimes issue with gel supply so I get the impression they do not want people hoarding it.

Is the prescription you get given just for the 1 bottle? Just seemed strange that all my other prescriptions are for 3 months, but pump was just for 1?
