Do I sleep well?

I'd probably say I do because I fall asleep really quickly but in reality it's the middle of the night and I'm wide awake. I'm going to put the news on and let it bore me to sleep.
This isn't the first time recently either.

Is it hormones causing sleep issues?

Quite possibly. I am the same and I just spoke to a GP about increasing my oestrogen. I never have problems getting to sleep, but often wake early and randomly.

I was the same but bought some tablets the other week and I am definitely sleeping better - magnesium glycinate- £13 off Amazon definitely made a difference .

I don't know the answer to your question

Do you feel tired every day?

I first went onto HRT for sleep (and flushes.)

Before menopause, I'd drop off to sleep in seconds. In late peri I felt wide awake and very hot the moment I lay down in bed, nad it was taking me ages to get to sleep.

HRT sorted that - seemed to reset my sleep pattern - but, years on (and on hrt) I wake in the night- no idea what time but certainly when it's very dark so maybe 3-4am? or later? I can be awake for around half an hour or more.

I've given up worrying over it and just accept that's how I am.

I do notice that physical exercise helps and if I've done none, my sleep is worse.

All that helps is going to be bed early and trying to get the 7- 8 hrs I need, so I'm rarely up after 10.30pm

@summergone you've reminded me I bought some magnesium supplements. You have to take them with food which means I usually forget. Must try harder!

I feel tired by bedtime - but generally my brain is well awake during the day.

I have flushes although had a couple of months without any which was nice, but they're back - so I cycle too hot and then too cold really quickly. I must be funny to watch on a zoom as I take my cardigan off and then put it back within minutes.

I'm still on the pill still - just googled it for the spelling and read: Desogestrel is a progestin medication which is used in birth control pills for women. It is also used in the treatment of menopausal symptoms in women. The medication is available and used alone or in....

These are specifically magnesium glycinate I take 2 20 minutes before bed they have definitely helped with me not waking up as much and the hot night time flushes . I was literally wide awake between 3 and 5 it was ridiculous but these have really helped . I don't have periods as I have the coil fitted but I bet if I had it taken out I wouldn't be having any periods as they were next to nothing 10 years ago !
