Can I double my Evorel patches?

If I don't want to take utrogestan, but want to increase my oestrogen... is this an option? Am in the 50's and need more oestrogen... but HATE Utrogestan and don't want a coil.

Obviously in consultation with my doctor.

Or do you have to go up a little bit at a time?

Utrogestan is progesterone and you need This in order to protect your uterus from cancer as I understand it. Oestrogen cannot be taken without some form of Progesterone (at least pre menopause) BUT I am no expert, this is just what I understand from the doctor I have seen.

Unless you've had a hysterectomy. I am having really bad side effects at present from what I suspect is too much estrogen so wouldn't advise doing this without a serious conversation with the GP.

If you haven't had a hysterectomy, then you need to take progesterone to protect your womb. Don't think there's much getting away from that really.

What are your reasons for not wanting a coil? There's also norethistone, provera and a few other progesterone types to try.

I know. The patches have progesterone in them for 1/2 the month. I tolerate this better than Utrogestan. But the next parch up (from 50-75) is apparently just oestrogen. I'd like to avoid Utrogestan, so am wondering about doubling the 50 patches. Which include both oestrogen and progesterone.

I can't stand the idea of a) having it put in and b) not being able to take it out myself, if it makes me feel bad.

Thanks, will look into the other types!

Could you continue using one patch but add estrogel (estrogen gel that you rub into your thighs) daily?

I'm seriously considering adding a pump of my lenzetto spray that I have bought previously! But is it bad to mix the products?
