Been on HRT ( patch and utrogestan and more recently mirena and patch ) for a good 3.5 years. Whilst it helps with flushes and anxiety ( a bit) my sleep is shocking and I'm exhausted.

I've tried increasing oestrogen several times, but I feel awful ( wired and irritable).

What can I do? I've tried lavender/bath/relaxation etc and none of it works. Doesn't help that I've got nerve damage in one arm which is very painful at night.

I just want to go to sleep and stay asleep for 7 hours.

You can’t get it in the U.K. unless by, very difficult to obtain, prescription.

Magnesium before bedtime, I find a link for the ones I get.

I have bought melatonin in the past but it was before brexit & customs issues. I had to have it shipped from USA.

This mag works well though. 1 morning, 1 afternoon and 2 pm -so 4 per day.

Thanks. Will have a look at that. I was going to try Cbd gummies, but all trial and error I guess.

Suppose also, it's like my brain never shuts down. I'm finding just managing that basics of life ( job, pets, teens, washing/house, family being far away etc) tricky to manage these days.

Careful with melatonin. You might be able to buy it from a website that services the U.K, but it's illegal to manufacture and then sell it here without a prescription. The ones from the U.S sound very unreliable. I remember reading some kind of study of many different brands selling melatonin and some of them contained next to nothing, whilst other tablets contained 2-3 the states dose. Quality control seems to be a real issue with it.

However, these supplements are not authorised for sale in the UK. Melatonin is a prescription-only medicine in the UK

Before you try supplements, if you sleep alone, search for 'brown noise' on Youtube. There are several clips of it. Try to focus on that sound when you're mind is racing. Might not be enough but you could try.
