Peri, periods and pregnancy tests

I’m in peri, I think, and on the mini pill. Sometimes I get a period roughly monthly and sometimes I skip one.

just wondered what other people do about worrying about pregnancy? Can’t shake the mental association between a late period and being pregnant. Obviously it’s extremely unlikely but is it ever worth testing or do you just think it’s 1000 to 1 and forget about it?

I am 51 and up until a couple of months ago had regular as clockwork periods. However, my last couple have definitely been longer in between and this month I haven't had one at all. I wonder the same as you, how do you deal with missing a period when it has only ever happened before when I was pregnant? Surely menopausal women aren't buying pregnancy tests each time they miss a period. What do others do?

I am 47 and pretty sure I must be starting peri-menopause but up to now I have still had regular periods. I am currently 5 days late. I know that is nothing but I am usually regular as clockwork. I have had sex once in the last month (I'm single!) using a condom. I am almost certain I am not pregnant but I just ordered a pregnancy treat - just in case! It is so hard to shake that association between a missed period and pregnancy. I don't want to have to take a test every time I have a late or missed period though so would also be interested in what others do?

Depends on age really. I tested at 45, don't bother now at 50.
