Well, my lady parts are so so itchy ! It keeps me awake at night and it’s so distracting and destressing during the day !

im using a feminine hygiene wash and powder …, found that helped for a week or two but it’s back with a vengeance ! It is really driving me mad !

Any tips on what to do …. It’s not thrush, I’ve treated myself numberous times for it ! Gp suggested Vaseline…: made it worse !

im on HRT …. Patches and utrogestan

all advice appreciated!!

Wash with Dermol instead of the feminine wash and don’t put powder on, that sounds like a recipe for disaster tbh.

Washing the vulva with water is perfectly adequate or try using an emulsifying ointment such as Dermol 500. If the skin is sore you can use a bland moisturiser but nothing perfumed. Use soft, white, non-recycled toilet paper and cotton pads or tampons

@Itsnotthesameasitwas
Can Dermol be used everyday long term?

Localised estrogen, I use Vagifam, its made a huge difference and I'm not getting up to pee during the night now so that's great. It's a pessary, I use it daily but some use only a couple of times a week.

Think your GP should prescribe pessaries/gel.

Sounds like another case of Lichen Sclerosis to me. Look it up on line to check out symptoms. Remember that in general drs know FA about the condition, so go well armed and ask for a referral to a dermatologist and get a biopsy for confirmation. In the meantime, dissolve some baking soda in hot/warm water to sit in (washing up bowl will do), then get some Germaloids cream to apply to deaden the itch. Good Luck
