Progesterone only pill - Slynd

I am 50 with regular albeit extremely heavy periods every 24-26 days. I am very low on iron and have been prescribed iron supplements by the GP because of this.

I visited a private Gyn in my home country and they have prescribed Slynd to manage the heavy periods. Apparently there are fewer side effects with this particular pill than older progesterone only pills. I don't think Slynd is yet available in the UK, but I'm not sure.

I also suffer from anxiety and irritability and having read posts on this board, I think that this might be due to being in perimenopause.

I wondered which of the hormones in HRT is the one that helps with reducing anxiety?

What are people's views or experiences with progesterone only pills?

I think it's usually the oestrogen but it's a fine balance to be honest.

Falling progesterone can cause anxiety but some women find high progesterone causes mood issues too.

When I raise a patch I feel v jittery from the extra oestrogen.
