Hi all,
New here so please be patient 😍
Im 48 and 99% perimenopause, have got all the symptoms.
Just of late have had the worst throbbing pain in my right hip/thigh which has now gone down my leg,my knee feels crampy and my foot feels like its got pins and needles and is also cold (compared to my left foot which is perfectly ok.
Could this be another symptom as ive read about perimenopause leg pain or should i be hiking myself to the GP?
Has anyone else had anything similar?
Thanks xx

Hi OP,

I do have right hip, leg, knee pain also. I'm having some pain now in-fact for the last few days, which I do relate to the menopause.

I am now post menopausal. It is important to be active in order to maintain muscle and tone to protect and strengthen ourselves as a result of hormonal changes.

I did contact the doctor and had an MOT - physical examination, extensive blood tests and ultrasound - my NHS practice - just to make sure no underlying issues. Do this!

When you get the all clear you know it's menopausal symptoms and can take action through exercise, diet, HRT, whatever is right for you.

I have aches and pains in my legs . I'm definitely perimenopausal. Blood tests discovered I am anaemic (attributed to a heavy periods - scan confirmed nothing sinister womb related). Full blood count came back okay. I have also had covid and read it can be related to this. I'm currently taking iron tablets (prescribed) but if they don't make a difference will be returning to the GP as I need a repeat blood test to monitor anaemia anyway.

I am prone to health anxiety and all of this is making me anxious as to what could be causing it. I would check it out with the GP op as mum4all suggested.

I'd see a physio.

This is impossible to diagnose on Mumsnet but sounds like sciatica to me (me not being medically trained 😅)
