I'd be interesting in hearing other women's experiences with this.

I asked my GP to prescribe it, as having done some research, it sounded like it may help more with the VA and it's associated symptoms, than the pessaries I use. I ended up with a prescription for a different pessary instead.

I am now trying again.

Could the reluctance of my GP be purely down to cost? Having had a look at various forums it doesn't seem like it is very commonly used, so I would be interested to hear if it worked - or didn't - for others in my situation. TIA.

Loads of us use it (there's a FB group for VA). It's a game-changer.

As you know it gives you roughly x5 vagifem a week, and you leave it in for 3 months at a time. It can lose potency in the last couple of weeks and some women routinely swap over a little early because of this. It's easy to insert and remove yourself unless you've got a severe mobility problem. I don't think GPs are very aware of them - or mine wasn't when I asked to try it a few years back.
