I’ve got a phone consultation with my GP this week. What do I need to ask/tell her ?

You should think about what it is you want from the consultation. Doctors don't try to ration treatment so they need to know what the problem that you are suffering from is.
If you are over 45 and have hot flushes, brain fog, irritability etc and have no other medical problems then a presumptive diagnosis of perimenopause can be made and a consideration of HRT if hat is what you are interested in.
If you are younger or your symptoms are less clean cut, have a relevant family or personal medical history or indeed you are over 60 then it becomes less straightforward and consideration of tests, other causes for your symptoms needs to be made.
The other issue that your GP will want to discuss in the context of possible peri is your need for contraception.I would read up a bit about menopause and management of such so that the conversation with your GP can stay on point. Best of luck ck.

Sorry, I’m over 50 and have a Mirena coil in.
Ive no need for contraception as my libido has gone completely.
No hot flushes , but when I do something like my gym class or cleaning I get hotter than I think I should.
Sleep is ok, although id like to sleep longer, but I do ok on what I do have.
‘Not being able to remember the words for things, irritable, frequently wanting a divorce, my mind is constantly whirring, those are the things that trouble me.
‘I’m about 3 stone overweight and struggling to shift it.

If your mirena is less than 5 years old it will work to protect the lining of your womb. The upside of this is that you only need oestrogen , the hormone you are short of, and won't need to take added progesterone, which can give annoying side effects. If your mirena is older it would need replacing.
