1 x 50mcg patch or 2 x25 mcg patches?

I am using Evorel patches and managing very well with them. Started on 25mcg and thought I needed a boost up to 50mcg. I don't like the 50 mcg patches. They are bigger, scratchier, feel more "plastic-y" than the 25 mcg patches which seemed more like PVC. They irritate my skin and I am not impressed!

Is there any medical difference between applying 2 of the smaller patches as opposed to one of the larger ones? Would the GP be prepared to do this? The other point is that if I really don't feel any additional benefit from the extra oestrogen I may just drop my prescription back down to the minimum.

It will cost the NHS more than prescribing the 50mcg patches so the GP may refuse on those grounds as you will need double the patches.

No harm in asking though.

I do think the dose has been less with x2 25 estrodot patches compared with 50 patch but that might be me.

The difference may not be the dosage but be dependant on different batches.
I use an Evorel 50 and a 25 to make 75. They seem to have changed recently. The outer packaging changed and now I suspect the patches themselves have changed. They always used to stick brilliantly and didn't irritate. Now they are coming unstuck and irritate, also feel a bit stiffer too. Worryingly they don't seem as effective either.

Oh...and the best stroopwaffels ever are lavender and black pepper (Albert Heijn)👌

Evorel 25 used to be soft and stick well. Now these have changed to stiff, plasticky, and they don't stay on. How can we give this info back to the manufacturer. They are not fit for purpose this way, i am fitting a new patch every 2 days instead of 2xper week. Costly to the NHS.
