So I really don’t want to go on HRT, but feeling a bit rotten at the moment. I’ve lost my patience, and my stress incontinence is getting worse. So I finally phoned for an appointment, they said that HRT is very popular at the moment, so so they’re doing clinics. One month until I can be seen. If it’s that popular surely they should increase clinics !

Is this at your GP?

I wonder why you had to say it was for HRT and not just ask for an appt? You don't have to say what it's for, despite some receptionists asking!

I'd assume the reason they don't do more 'clinics' is because they don't have enough drs to take them.

But at bit confused by clinics as this suggests your GP practice is putting time aside for a clinic for menopause, rather than just seeing women for normal appts.

Can't youjust make an appt and when you get there, discuss meno?

Yes, she said that they have one doctor who does the HRT, it’s so popular that they’re doing clinics now. I don’t really mind as I’d rather see the doctor that has an interest in it, and she’s the one that fitted my IUD, so she obviously has a particular interest in it.
I suppose it’s my fault as I asked ringing if there was a certain GP I need see . I really don’t want to see one if the old male GP’s about it !
