HRT, cardio exercises and a return of broken nights

5 days ago I started 30 min a day aerobic/low cardio exercises, a run or a low impact youtube videos. I am not unfit, I have been walking my dog more than 10k a day for years now.
Last 2 nights I got woken up several times. I can go back to sleep but don't want to experience the same tiredness I was having before starting HRT 4 months ago. I am on Evorel patches, they helped me a lot, sweats and broken nights were gone for good.
Has any of you experienced anything similar?
I am going to do my exercises in the morning to see if that is going to make any difference.

I was going to say, don't exercise at night. It can cause sleep issues, as you've discovered.

Because of HRT, menopause or in general?

It's well known that evening exercise isn't a good thing as it loads your body with adrenaline. But it depends how late you are doing it.

The other option is that maybe you need to increase your estrogen dose.

You said you 'got woken up' - do you mean something woke you, or you woke 'naturally?

FWIW many people (most?) wake in the night but if you can go back to sleep easily, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I woke "naturally" but until I started those exercises my sleep was uninterrupted for the last 4 months.
Until my menopause I never naturally woke up at night.
Exercises weren't late, mid afternoon mose of them. From tomorrow I will do them before 10 am.

Not sure what dose you are on but it's likely you need a higher one. They say give HRT 3 months to settle then reassess so maybe now it's time to assess the dose?

I doubt early afternoon exercise is an issue.

It also depends on how much your sleep disturbs you. I've used HRT for 14 years and feel fine on it but still wake usually once or twice at night. I just accept that is how I am now (in my 60s) and don't sleep like a younger person any more.

A month ago I had my call with my GP after 3 months on Evorel and at that time I wasn't exercising.
I will carry on with this dosage for few more weeks with exercises hoping that my body will settle for this new routine.
